We Do(e): Waking Up and Hair Time

I reserved a suite so that my bridal party could all stay together the night of the wedding. This was definitely a wise decision because we made all sorts of fun decisions. Such as heading out to In N Out burger (that was conveniently located next door to the hotel) for dinner followed by having girl talk while listing to 90s boy bands and drinking pink champagne. We then capped it off with the most epic dance party ever. One for the books, we really hit a new level of friendship with our mad skills. One we are glad nobody else was around to witness.

We hit the hay by 11pm and somehow I managed to quiet my brain and fall into a peaceful slumber with my sister next to me and my dear friends in the adjacent room.

The next morning my eyes fluttered open and I instantly felt the excitement of over 100 Christmas mornings rolled into one. I could not believe the day was finally here. I rolled over to see my sister smiling at me and she proceeded to say "Miss Doe, it's your wedding day!" Her voice was filled with enthusiasm and love. I quickly glanced out the window and noticed that the sun was shining. Right on, I thought to myself, stick around for awhile.

I took a nice hot shower and threw on my "Keep Calm and Marry On" tank top. I was ready to get this party started.

A few minutes later my dad was at the door with breakfast and flowers. Not only had he already had flowers sent to my room the day before:

He brought more flowers, and champagne for mimosas, of course:

He put together a nice spread of muffins, croissants, bagels and fruit. He even bought the fancy napkins and silverware! We are two peas in a pod when it comes to loving details.

Before I knew it my hair dresser had arrived and we had approximately four hours before we needed to head over to Monte Verde Inn to start our makeup. As each girl had their hair done, we ate breakfast and started a round of mimosas.

Every once in awhile my sister or my friends would look at me and laugh at how calm I was. I had made a conscious decision to really drink in every moment of the day. I was having fun and nothing could spoil my mood.

I was having fun watching the girls get their hair done, but I was craving to get my booty in that seat and start my hair. Finally it was my turn and I was ready to have have my hair stylist's magic hands get to work on my mane.

I was beyond thrilled with how my hair turned out. It was so simple yet it was exactly everything I had no idea I wanted. If you recall, my original hair style that I envisioned didn't quite work out. I am so happy I decided to have a few more hair trials until I found what looked best.

At this point we have all been fed, our hair is finished, we are antsy with excitement and we are ready to head on out to Monte Verde Inn to start our makeup.

We Do(e): Let The Recaps Commence!

The professional photos are in, preview video complete and I have made it past the post wedding blues without even one stop at a craft store! (Maybe a drive by, but that's it, I swear). That means it is time to start the Doe recaps.

I thought the best way to kick off my recaps is to share our preview video so you can get a taste of what is to come. I hope you like!
